  • A local walk looking at well known symbols and what they represent;
  • Exploring packaging symbols for different brands;

Activities

  • A walk around the local area spotting different signs and symbols;
  • Give the children a variety of different symbols and ask them to sort them eg by colour, type of product, shape etc.;
  • Match a photo of a sport with its symbol;
Outcomes
  • To recognise the Olympic and Paralympic symbols and the meaning;
  • A symbol to represent a sport;
  • A bar chart or pictogram;
