Year 4 - My London: "Making our mark!" (The Olympic Legacy)

  • I understand that buildings can have more than
    one function in the time they have been built;
  • I can use a variety of media to create 3D models of the Olympic Site after the Olympic Games;

Entry points
  • A trip to the O2 Arena or another building that has
    had many uses, look for clues of its uses;

Activities

  • Investigate a variety of buildings and the different roles they have had since they have been built;
  • Look at the proposed Olympic site and think about the uses of the Park;
  • Interview members of the community about their wishes for a London in the future;
  • Using the views of the community design new uses for the site adapting what is there already. Make models and write descriptions of what the new site will look like after 2012;
Outcomes
  • A 3D map that show the site of the future – to include written description and the views of local community;
