Year 5 - My Olympics: "Give me the Job!" (Jobs and Employment)

Key Skills I can recognise the complexities of organising a large scale event ie employers, processes etc; I can state the needs of employers; I can understand the personal attributes needed to be a good worker; I can plan an event, incorporating all the necessary roles;

• People in the community talk about their jobs: Playground friends, school council, staff members, parents etc;

Activities

• Writing a CV;
  
• Attend interviews for different roles
  Children to interview them about qualities needed to take on certain jobs – devise questions take notes etc;
  
  

• A CV for a story character (e.g.Willy Wonka, Alex Rider etc.);
• Their own individual CV;
  
• A party – planned for with specific jobs for the children to apply for etc;
