  • I can explain what each digit represents in decimal numbers and partition, round and order these numbers;
  • I can use efficient written methods to subtract decimal numbers;

Activities
  • Children to participate in a range of sporting activities and record their achievements on a “personal bests” card;
  • Children look at their personal bests and round the times to the nearest second;
  • In groups order their timings fastest-slowest;
  • Find the difference between my two best timings;
Outcomes
  • A record of sporting achievement;
  • A record showing progression in each sporting achievement;
  • An awareness of how practice leads to improvement;
