Year 5 - Myself: "Time Me! (Gathering Data)

Key Skills I can aim to achieve my best; I can try to improve on my last performance; I can work in a team; I can record time; I can explain what each digit represents in decimal numbers and partition, round and order these numbers; I can use efficient written methods to subtract decimal numbers;

• Children to participate in a range of sporting activities and record their achievements on a “personal bests” card;
  
• Children look at their personal bests and round the times to the nearest second;
  
• In groups order their timings fastest-slowest;
  
• Find the difference between my two best timings;

• A record of sporting achievement;
  
• A record showing progression in each sporting achievement;
  
• An awareness of how practice leads to improvement;
