Year 6 - My Olympics: "How Far we’ve come" (Timings and distances)

Activities
- Mark out distances and predict how long it will
take to run/throw/swim etc;
Improve own timings etc;
- Children to collect data about their own timings
and that of other Olympic and Paralympics
athletes. Present in different ways – calculating
mode/median etc;
- Look at distances covered by athletes in travelling
to the Olympics from country to country – use
scales to convert from cm to km etc;
