Mapping document of ICT units - this document gives an overview of the QCA units organised by Year group. Each unit has also been linked to the relevant National Curriculum Scheme of Work.
Suggested lesson structure document is provided to give teachers a guide to delivering an ICT lesson. A key element of the lesson is an understanding of key ideas. Teachers are encouraged to have an objective and teaching point that addresses both key technique and key idea (why and how the students are learning to use the application).
The lesson plan is provided as a supplement to the recommended lesson structure. Schools have found this useful when developing this structure in schools. The headings for these plans can then be incorporated into the existing planning format within the school. The key ideas are provided to give teachers suggestions of how they might address teaching points that will cover these areas for each unit of the QCA scheme of work.
