Assessment and Tracking

This section contains tools and grids to support teachers with the assessment and recording of pupil progress.

1.) Progression in Maths - This level descriptor is based on the National Numeracy Strategy.

2.) Yearly overviews - The documents in this section outline the the mathematical competences of a child working at age-related expectations for each year group.

3.) The Best Fit levels grid - The best fit grid is based on the level descriptors in the national curriculum and the key objectives in the National Numeracy Strategy framework. It is colour coded for year groups.

4.) Class key objective record sheets - This grid lists the key objectives for Years1 to 6. There is an expectation that teachers assess the key objectives and record results. Level descriptors have been assigned to the objectives. This information supports teachers when levelling pupils.

5.) Tracking Sheets - These tracking sheets track pupil progress across the three terms. The first column has the results from the previous summer and form a starting point for pupils.
