Sharing Good Practice

1.) Planning for new curriculum - This is the model agreed at the MFL Subject Leader’s Network Meetings for the planning process for the new curriculum. It reflects good practice, by focusing on skills and assessment, and is thus in line with the new curriculum ethos, the National Framework for MFL and AfL.

2.) Overview of Schemes of Work - completed by one of the schools in Hackney. It follows the planning process agreed by the Hackney Network of MFL Teachers, and follows the programme of study of the new QCA curriculum and the National Framework for MFL. There are clear cross curricular links, and the assessment criteria and processes, which follow good AfL practice, have also been specified.

- Unit 1, Greetings and Descriptions Overview for scheme of work (Year 7)

3.) Schemes of Work - based on the ‘overview’ and following the template agreed at the Subject Leaders’ Network meetings, and follows the new National Curriculum.
