1. Your Agreement to these Terms and Conditions
1.1 Use by you (“you” or “your” or the “the Viewer”) of this “Learning Live” website (www.learninglive.co.uk and any connected site(s) operated by TLT) (“the Website”) and all content on the Website (“the Content”) is provided by The Learning Trust (“TLT” or “us” or “our” or “we”) (as described in more detail in Clause 12 below) and is subject to the following terms and conditions (the “Terms”).
1.2 These Terms govern your use of the Website and all Content; and by using our Website you accept these Terms in full. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please do not access, use and/or contribute to our Website and/or use any Content.
1.3 You agree to use this Website and the Content only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Website or the Content.
1.4 We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Revised Terms will apply from the date of publication on the Website, you should therefore check periodically for changes in Clause 13 below. By using this Website after we post changes, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them. These Terms supersede all previous agreements in respect of your use of this Website.

2.1 All materials on this Website are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws and are the property of TLT, or its licensors, unless otherwise stated. Unless stated otherwise, you may access and download the materials located on the Website only for educational, personal, non-commercial use providing all original sources are indicated on the documents. You must not edit or otherwise modify any Content or other material on the Website, sell, rent or otherwise sub-licence Content or material from the Website or republish Content or material from the Website (including re-publication on another website) without written permission from us (and or from the relevant Content copyright owner).
2.2 The Website and Content is subject to copyright protection unless otherwise indicated. Copyright protected material may be downloaded free of charge to file or printer without requiring specific permission. This is subject to the material being reproduced accurately and not being used in a derogatory manner or in a misleading context. Where this material is being issued to others strictly in accordance with Clause2.1 above, then the source (including URL) and copyright status must be acknowledged. 3.1 Information provided on this Website is for information purposes only and is not intended to constitute professional or practical advice as circumstances can vary from person to person. Information provided on this Website will not always be up to date and cannot necessarily be relied upon; we do not warrant its completeness or accuracy. Visitors who use this Website and rely on any information do so at their own risk. TLT does not commit to ensuring that the Website remains available or that the Website is kept up to date.
4. Restrictions on who can use the website
4.1 If you are under 18, please get a parent’s or guardian’s permission before using the Website, and never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else.

5.1 We are not responsible for the contents or reliability of any other websites to which we provide a link and TLT does not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them. TLT has no control over the nature, content or availability of those sites.
5.2 No responsibility or liability for the privacy of personal information is accepted for linked-to websites, as these are beyond TLT’s control.
6. Our rights to remove or reproduce material uploaded or posted to our website
6.1 By sharing any contribution with TLT (if such a function exists on the Website) you agree to grant TLT, free of charge, permission to use the material in any way it wants (including modifying or deleting it). In order that we can use your contribution, you confirm that your contribution is: your own original work; is not defamatory and does not infringe any UK laws; that you have the right to give us permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your contribution or the consent of their parent / guardian if they are under 18.

8.1 TLT is committed to protecting the privacy of its Website users. Any information gathered from users is confidential and will be used for the purposes expressed and in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.

The laws of England and Wales shall govern your use of this Website and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

12.1 This Website is operated by The Learning Trust (a “not for profit” company limited by guarantee number 4424723), of Hackney Technology & Learning Centre, 1 Reading Lane, London, E8 1GQ, United Kingdom.
12.2 TLT is a “not for profit” company that is responsible for the planning, provision and management of education and education-related services in (and to) the London Borough of Hackney.
13. Changes and Updates
These Terms were published on 12 March 2009 and replace with immediate effect the Terms previously published on the website prior to the date of this new publication.
